Research On The Public Transport Network Running Performance Based On The GIS

With the booming of Chinese cities, urban public transport has become a salient issue. Government, enterprises and citizens all hope that the conditions of public transport can be improved. The main object of this study is the urban public transport network system. Based GIS and on-line electronic map, we have done some related applications of public transport network (Taking Hangzhou as an example).according by writing data conversion software, we get data entry to the database. Finally the complete bus data marked and displayed by using ArcMap. The study can help to analyze the relevant characteristics of the public transportation system, and strongly support for the development and optimization of the bus system.This essay mainly consists of two parts:The first part of the essay is dedicated to an introduction to and analysis of urban public transport network and the structure of the network. Prepared for further study (Taking Hangzhou as an example),we have done some work, such as Data Capture software programming and ArcGIS marking and so on. In Data Capture software programming process, we used Java and xml for acquiring all data about publish transport lines from Hangzhou bus Public Transportation website(include the bus network complete geographic information data, such as site line latitude and longitude). We marked and displayed Hangzhou public transport data on the electronic map through built-in functions of ArcMap.The second part of the essay, based on the first part of the production ArcGIS database and the transit vehicle speed date we have get from Hangzhou bus website, we develop public transport network performance analysis system by Using JSP programming, database technology, online mapping technology and AJAX technology. The system adopted information to the front webpage and dynamic display by background estimation, record all information vehicle speed in bus stop. Because the bus in the city exists in a large amount, so the system is not only helpful to analysis of the bus system performance, but also to a large extent help the city traffic system of real-time congestion analysis.This essay is organized as follows:the first chapter introduces the related research of city traffic and transportation system status. The second chapter introduces the public transportation network data acquisition software and ArcGIS calibration. The third chapter introduces the process of the realization of vehicle performance analysis system (including needs analysis, outline design, detailed design, system realization and system test).The fourth chapter is the prospect of Whole essay.
