With the rapid growth of IP services and IP network applications, the original Internet comes to be more and more powerfurless, the Internet technology turns into the redesign phase. The Existing Internet problems include scalability, security, management and end-to-end delay, which have challenged the development of next-generation Internet. With the future of IPv6deployment, its macro influence throughout the world network and the study on its development trends plays an important role in the success of the information revolution for the country also in restructuring the country’s economic development. IPv6replaces IPv4is a kind of inevitable, but the incompatibilities exist between IPv6protocol and IPv4protocol Therefore, in IPv4to IPv6transition period, an urgent task is to master IPv6along with next generation Internet macroscopic characteristics, and to carry out comparative work with IPv4networks. Meanwhile, there is no work on topology prediction based on IPv6network, so nothings can reflect the re-design of the Internet trends.Considering the problems above, after the design and implement of analysis tool about characteristics, research in this dissertation focuses on time feature, the power-law, coreness and dynamic changes of topology, and select CAIDA IPv6dataset from January2008to April2010to analyze.To explore the ascendant characteristics of IPv6network topology, research on the characteristic behavior in the Internet paths is of important meaning for people charging with the future network design, this dissertation first analyzes and compares the spread behavioral characteristics between IPv4and IPv6. The correlative relationship between the traveling diameter and the traveling time is still very weak, so this law is not changed with the network protocols are updated. As cross-network routing single point measurement error problem, this dissertation changes IPv6single measurement point data to correction data and extracts macro-topology.After comparing IPv4and IPv6macro-topology, this dissertation concludes that IPv6single point measurement error is less than IPv4error, protocol updated network causes the improve detect transparency.Secondly, the dissertation statistics a variety of macro features of the IPv6network topology and analyse the IPv6network in the power-law characteristics. Focusing on the hierarchical feature, the core on time slice evolution analysis showed that power-law distribution of core.As the periphery of the network node has not to be sufficient to the evolution, this dissertation designs the Internet evolution maturity coefficient, so as to measure the maturity of the Internet’s evolution. Accordingly, under the power law characteristic features and hierarchical feture analysis, all shows the laws of the complex network exist in macro IPv6network.Finally, based on the hierarchical features and time series analysis, this dissertation predicts the evolution of the IPv6network. Experimental results show that the model can not only reproduce the evolution of IPv6network, also can predict it. With predicting the future evolution of the IPv6network, the research can suggest and guide IPv6and next generation network development and planning and further re-design of the Internet.
