With the rapid development of science and technology, the degree of automation inindustrical equipment is becoming higher and higher. The handling device for injectionmoulding machine has become one of the main automatic equipment in modern plasticmanufacturing industry.The object of the study of this issue is five-axis handling device. The manipulatoruses V706touch screen made by HAKKO, which can display the status of the handlingdevice and send instructions to PLC to control the handling device and injectionmoulding machine. Firstly, this issue designs a simple, friendly, convenient andconsistent man-machine interface based on Ergonomics theory. Secondly, the wholeprocess of the software design of manipulator follows software engineering methodsstrictly, focuses on enhancing the software upgrade capability. Thirdly, using a modulardesign approach, the complex control system is divided into relatively independentmodules, including manual testing (for program verification, input and outputoperation), automatic operation, process programming, action parameters setting, errorrecords and production management. All modules are programmed by macroinstructions of V706under V-SFT5.3.0.0development environment. Finally, themanipulator is connected with PLC, injection moulding machine, motor and mechanicalexecution unit to debug in the industrial field.The testing results of the manipulator show that interface display is intuitive andclear, easy to operate. In a word, the whole design meets the system design requirements.As a result of the flexible design of the software, it would be adapted to both three-axisand five-axis injection handling device according to the hardware.
