In recent years, the electric power system is developing fast.But the traditional substation does not support IEC61850standard, the intelligent electronic equipmen from different manufacturers can not achieve interoperability and integration.At the same time, electric power equipment failures tends to affect the safe operation of the entire system, lead to the blindness of maintenance, and caused huge economic losses. In this paper, we achieve the substation equipmemt management system,which is based on IEC61850standard and realize real-time management and reliability analysis.This article first selects the reliability analysis methods through experiment and comparison. We take Weibull distribution as the model of the reliability analysis. And we focus on the parameter estimate methods of the Weibull distribution. And through the simulation test,in different number of sample data, compare to all sorts of estimation method,focusing more on biase and effectiveness of the estimate.Then the characteristics of each method are summarized.And then, a method is taken to be used in the equipment management system.Finally we achieve the substation equipment managem system.It can provide substation manager with a complete substation equipment and electrical connection structure.The combined with communication technology, we complete real-time monitoring and data exchange with the equipment.And the reliability analysis method is applied to the electric power equipment,approach the sample data with Weibull model,and get the life features and failure rate of the Equipment.
