The ad hoc wireless network as a new self-organizing network has theadvantages of high degree of freedom, rapidly changing etc comparing to othertraditional networks. While, because of resource-constrained nodes and the lackof security mechanisms, the ad hoc network nodes performance and trust areparticularly important. However, nowadays the security routing solutions of adhoc are still choosing highly reliable path to deliver data packets, withoutconsidering the performance of nodes. This dissertation proposes the method of judging node performance and anew measure of the trust through in-depth analysis of restraint betweenperformance of nodes and the trust model. On one hand, a quad model is usedin this dissertation to determine the performance of the node, on the other hand, the trust of the entire network is abstracted as a trust matrix, and thus theentropy of trust is taken into consider. Basing on those above, a new routingprotocol is been proposed combing with AODV protocol, which update theperformance dynamically in the process of route discovery, and use the trust andthe performance of node as an alternative to the routing. In this way, both thesecurity and the performance are taken into consideration. At the same time, thesecurity and stability of the whole network have been promoted.Furthermore;the excessive load of the high trusted node could be prevented. Then thefeasibility of the new protocol has been proved by OPNET simulation softwarewith comparing the result with the original protocol. Finally, the full dissertationis summarized and the direction of further research is points out.
