High Speed Data Storage Technology Research In The Application Of Deep Space Exploration

Deep space exploration is an important way to understand the universe for human,the detection data produced from which needs to store in high-speed and real-time, sothat it can regarded as all kinds of follow-up study basis, so it must put forward higherrequest for the speed of data transmission speed, storage capacity, store capacity andstorage reliability and so on. As a new generation of disk interface bus, SATA has anumber of prominent function and characteristics needed in detection data.This paper detailedly introduces and analyses the agreement with the relevantdesign of SATA content, then constructs the hierarchical structure of the SATA harddisk host controller according to the results of analysis, and designs detailedly, thenprograms each module based on the above using Verilog, and then simulates allmodules on ModelSim, and last comprehensively tests this design in Xilinx ML507development board. The ultimate test show that SATA hard disk host controller basedon Xilinx FPGA designed in this paper meets SATA agreement needs, and has someadvantages such as convenient use, highly integration and low cost, and makedevelopment become quick and convenient, more able to adapt to the demand of themarket.At present, SATA has been widely used in the storage areas, but there is lessindependent research and development for SATA hard disk host controller used inFPGA in China. Therefore, it is vital significance to design the SATA hard disk hostcontroller used in FPGA, it allows the user to bypass complex and tedious SATAagreement. Through controlling simpler port signal, User can read and write SATA harddrive. It lays a foundation for data storage in deep space exploration, and has some ofthe engineering application value.
