High energy electron beam is characterized by the important factors of the evaluation of electron beam welding quality. Its content includes the beam spatial power density distribution and the focal spot morphology, its characteristic has a direct impact on the dynamic behavior of the electron beam welding process and the quality of welding products. It is our purpose to obtain the spatial form of the electron beam distribution and quantitative analysis for high energy transient electron beam. The study includes following:1. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of high-energy electron beam a novel beam testing ideas was proposed. The small angle of deflection of the electron beam with electromagnetic signals was realized. And cross-section of electron beam sweeps sensor holes. At same time through a closed electronic circuit the penetrable electrons were collected. The data will be used for subsequent reconstruction and analysis.2. Electron beam detection devices were designed and working principle of various parts was described in detail. And hardware acquisition circuit, software framework and modules of software function were explained too.3. Based on characteristics and the relationship between electron beam deflection scanning signal and acquisition signal, structure of electron beam sampling system is proposed. High-frequency, high-speed dada transfer, sharing of external clock source and trigger mode of acquisition signal are deal with PCI-1714card. Serial communication, data collection process and segmentation preprocess method are described in detail.4. The overall electron beam energy distribution was built by a single cross section of electron beam energy density distribution.3D simulation was realized for high energy transient electron beam energy distribution based on OpenGL graphic library. Isoline tracking algorithm of energy density for single cross section was designed and spatial appearance properties for electron beam were analyzed with data of isoline. With Marching Cubes algorithm electron beam spatial energy density values was rendered based on triangular patches; Principle of picking3D spatial point with mouse was figured out and algorithm of measuring two points distance of spatial surface based on reconstruction surface data were realized.
