The measurement of the thickness of oil film on sea surface is one of theindispensable works of the ocean management, and it is of much importance on thefields of environment protection, chemical analysis, oil spreading dynamics and so on.The paper that centers about the key techniques of the sensor for the thicknessmeasurement of oil spill film on ocean surface by airborne disposable cast developedin our laboratory is studied, consisting of the position coordinate of the light spotextraction, the experimental system calibration, the buoy movement in air, theforce of buoy entering water and analysis of its mechanical strength. The mainworks as follows has been done:1、 The principle of measurement the thickness of oil film on water withdifferential laser trigonometry is studied. The uncertainty of thicknessmeasurement by an oblique/vertical incident mode of two laser triangulationranging systems is investigated.2、 The algorithm of extracting the center coordinate of the light spot using ofthe modified Gaussian fitting is presented. The image of the light spot isextracted by the entropic threshold, the center coordinate of the light spot isobtained by Gaussian fitting of the upper and lower edge dates of the lightspot image extracted. The center coordinate of the light spot for differentthickness is achieved and the results show that the algorithm proposed in thepaper has a higher accuracy.3、 Calibration method for the differential laser trigonometry thicknessmeasurement system is studied. Calibration curve is obtained by the standarddisplacement method and the error is fitted.4、 Based on the experimental system developed, the algorithm of extracting thecenter coordinate of the light spot and the calibration method of experimentalsystem, the experiment is conducted with different thicknesses of blockgauges. The range of the measurement is0.1mm~12mm. The maximumdeviation between the nominal value and the measured value is less than±28μm, with RMS of14.7μm. And the experiments for different types anddifferent thicknesses of oil film are tested. 5、 The instantaneous state of motion of buoy is analyzed, the force of buoyentering water is calculated, and the buoy entering water is simulated. Theminimum wall thickness of the buoy in the maximum force of buoy enteringwater is given。...
