According to the theories and models of product placement andcombined with years of experience, the author proposed theoreticalassumptions from the perspective of niche theory: Similar televisionprograms compete with each other for "audience demand" and"commercial benefit". Different production processes of programsprovide the audience different uses and gratifications opportunity. Underthe conditions of a low degree of overlap will result in a"complementary"; when programs homogeneity come into a certainextent, the competition took place. When new production and productionmethods approach the needs of the audience, the old way will beexcluded or replaced.Departure from the theoretical assumptions, the author use TVvariety shows as an example to do niche analysis in order to look for keyelements of the program (niche). Starting from the point of view to meetthe audience demand, we analysis the synergies between these keyelements and the commercial element, in order to summer up a universallaw and build up a new television program production model with commercial value through a number of practical cases.Space&Props, performers, memory points, program theme andarrangement are the five elements is a niche to fulfill the audiencedemand. Based on the cooperative analysis of television programs whichfulfill the audience demand and commercial elements and according totheir cooperative analysis we proposed a new theoretical model-coupling:based on adjacent and compatibility. Though previously intervention(forward-looking set) of content and technical arrangement, we canachieve the coupling between content and commercial elements. That isthey are interrelated with each other. Coupling model emphasizes thecustomization of the program, accompanied with some technicalarrangement means we can combine implantation in both rigid and softways to increase the volume and improve the ratings and thus form aneffective mode of cooperation.
