Research On Cloud Storage Model Of Digital Library Resources

This topic studies a digital library resource storage model based on the cloudstorage. The system model, based on the deep study of the digital library resourceconstruction and according to the business needs of existing library, presents a modeldesign scheme based on the cloud storage.The research contents of this paper are as follows:1.Analysis and research of the storage model of existing digital library resource:Comparing the advantage and the disadvantage of the traditional resource storagemode and combining with the needs of the digital library resource development, thispaper analysis the storage characteristics and demanded technology of the digital library.At present, the digital library, providing service by resources integration, has beengradually realized a status from cross-industry and cross boundary resource limitationand service intimidation to the highly information resources sharing andcomprehensively services.2.Introducing the cloud storage theory to the digital library storage.After years of development, cloud storage technology has shown its uniqueadvantages. It has a distributed file system, grid computing and cluster applicationfeatures. With the help of the application softwares, cloud storage technologycollaborates the different storage devices and allows them work coordinately, so avirtual and integrated system can be realized and employed to provide data access anddata storage services outside. Similar to the internet and wide area network, cloudstorage has a cloud structure. For users, it is an aggregate consists of many servers andcloud storage devices instead of a certain device. What’s more, the entire cloud-storaged virtual resources can be employed by the users instead a single specific storagedevice, which also can be seen as a data access service. The essence of cloud storage isto realize the change from the devices to the service by the combination of the storagedevices and application softwares with the help of the application softwares, which allows the storage equipment management becoming conveniently.3.Improving the copy storage strategy in cloud storage.Through the analysis and the improvement of copy deposition strategy aboutHDFS distributed file system, this paper proposes a dynamic replica storage strategy.4.Designing a system model conforming the digital library resources storage.The features of the cloud storage technology makes it excessively suitable forapplying to the digital library resources storage. The unified interface of the regionaldigital library is vary similar to the unified data of the cloud storage, wichi means thatall resources storied in the cloud will make the resources sharing, data management andmaintenance more convenient. This paper firstly analysis the traditional library storagetechnology and cloud storage technology, then designs a cloud storage modeconforming to the demand of digital library resources development and partly realizesthe function of the model, the performance test about the realized function and contrastexperiment demonstrate that our model is feasible and superior.
