We live in a modern social information age, and the science technology isincreasing day by day. The Manufacturing level and competitive power of themechanical industries in our country is rising and strengthening greatly, and it isnecessary to improve the remote measurement technique and measuring level. Inorder to meet the requirements for developing, the modern technology of theindustrialization and industrial manufactory must be combined with thenon-contacting remote measurement technology. The ultrasonic measurementtechnology is a common non-contacting remote measurement technology. Basedon the principle of ultrasonic measurement technology and industrialrequirements, a new ultrasonic measurement system, which can precludecollision, is designed and established for industrial safety.There are four analytical steps in this research paper. Firstly the overalldesign of the ultrasonic measurement system is presented, it is based on theanalysis of the ultrasonic waves and ultrasonic measurement technology.Secondly the hardware is designed on the basis of configuring STC89C52as a key component. Thirdly based on the logical rules of the ultrasonic measurement,the software of the ultrasonic measurement system is developed by establishingflow chart and Keil environment. Finally the ultrasonic measurement system isexperimented. Concerned with some impacts of the system on distancemeasurement, the error analysis is accomplished.The performance of the new measurement system is verified by tests,which also is provided with a lot of advantages,such as simple structure, lowcost, working stability and high-accuracy etc. This measurement system iscapable of real-time display, warning with high-accuracy and stability in a finiterange. This new measurement system is representative and value for developingother kinds of non-contact measurement system.
