The high precision winding machine is a special electronic equipmentn for winding atraveling wave tube helical coil. Based on a practical project,combined with the spiralwinding technology for processing, high precision winding machine control system isdesigned in this paper.Spiral line is also known as the slow wave line, because this line looks like a helical inthe electron gun of travelingwave tube.It is the most important part of the slow wavecomponent and the key structure of the realization of microwave energy amplifier.The pitchof helical line is a key parameter that determined the dispersion characteristics and couplingimpedance of slow wave component.So it is important to control the precision of the pitch ofthe helical line怂The paper relies on a supporting project.First of all, the spiral winding technology andwinding structure of winding technology is introduced and the key techniques are analyzed.We put forward the ideal of linear interpolation control model and this model is discussed andoptimized.Secondly,based on this model,we designed a hardware platform which consist ofIPC,PMAC, servo motor and linear scale. we develop a control software by VC++6.0Acontrol software and control algorithm of winding control system which used forovercomeing the transmission error of screw is designed.In the end,this control system is successfully applied in the equipment and achieves agood winding effect.
