With the development of simulation technology, multimedia technology and virtualreality technology, the virtual experiment plays a very important role in multi-field. How-ever, there is no uniform standard for most virtual experiment system on development.Modelica language offers a solution to this problem. Unfortunately, most simulation soft-ware based on Modelica, mainly for scientific computing, is weak on real-time interactivesimulation and does not support multi-users, which can’t meet the needs of virtual experi-mental teaching platform.The interactive simulation mechanism achieves a multi-domain unified modeling mul-ti-user real-time interactive simulating environment. Based on the characteristics of virtualexperimental teaching platform, the Modelica simulation tasks are classified by the interac-tive simulation mechanism. And different simulation runtime environment is programmedbased on OpenModelica source. In order to provide unified interactive computing servicesand make up the weakness of OpenModelica on computer sciences simulation, the solverdriven interface provides a unified solver call interface and an interactive simulation pro-tocol. The simulation data transporting layer provides an asynchronous communicationmechanism based on the Twisted framework to meet the multi-task simulation and concur-rent data transmission. Based on the TCP mechanism, the transport layer ensures reliabletransmission of the real-time simulation data using the clock controlling mechanism in thereal-time interactive simulation process. An interactive simulation system service layerprovides administrators with task number, task allocation, simulation conditions, the statis-tical information of simulation, to ensure the virtual experimental teaching platform stable.System tests have shown that interactive simulation for multi-field oriented mechan-ism achieve the multi-user interactive simulation, and under different load conditions, theoverall system response time is stable, which ensures the quality of service.
