Low-level-light and infrared images are monochrome images, the low signalnoise ratio(SNR) is not conducive to exploration, and the human eye to color levelof resolution is far more than black and white gray scale; if the low-level-light imageand infrared image fusion, obtained the target image of the true color, the goal ismore suitable for human visual response characteristics, and effectively improve thedetection and identification of the target, dual-band color night vision surveillancetechnology has become an important night vision technology trends.Currently, to achieve color night vision technology in two ways: first,combining the image intensifier which have the two different response in thewavelength, using spectral filtering and electronic processing technologies toproduce color images. Second, the combination of low-level-light sensors andinfrared sensors, and they share an optical aperture; provide real-time image withcolor by fusion the low-level-light image and infrared image.The main purpose of this paper is to design the color night-vision opticalsystem of single channel double wave optics system, research the reflex, reflecting areflex optical system types, and design the dual-band night vision system of singlechannel in different types, analyze the different types of dual spectrum night visionoptical system imaging performance. Using the common set of an optical systemwith the low-level-light sensor and infrared sensor, and the two image-sensors getthe information of the goal simultaneously by the spectral technology, get the targetcolor image by fusion the low-level-light image and infrared image, through aspecific fusion algorithm, thus improve the resolution of the night reconnaissance and recognition, and the system is used on the area target surveillance, night safetysurveillance and close combat at night.
