In recent years, Weibo has come to enter the view of people, and strongly affecting the field ofNetwork media. However, there exists only a few works studying on the broadcasting features of Weibo.The2012London Olympic Games is stepping closer and as a spectacular sport event, it will definitelybecome the focus for media. The study has analyzed the topic on Twitter.com, which is about thepreparing of London Olympic Games, in order to learn the broadcasting features of Weibo ofTwitter.com. First of all, by the method of literature research, access to the network communicationscience authority related monographs and research achievements. Then, using the method ofobservation, from February20,2010to June20th in the United Kingdom to collect the relevant data;finally, uses the method of content analysis, on the Twitter network micro blog topic classification. Tosort out eight major topics, including“traffic, environmental protection, security, facilities, ticketing,events, watching, Olympic Games ’effect”. Then found eight characteristics of broadcasting features ofWeibo of Twitter.comFirst, use Twitter network micro blog to discuss topics is very simple and convenient; second, topicparticipants may come from every corner of the world, and even in the same topic, their discussions arequite different and extensive. Third, the majority of participants are anonymous and most of them arecommon citizens. Forth, communication on Weibo of Twitter.com appears fragmented and there is astrong atmosphere of talking. Fifth, broadcasting of Weibo of Twitter.com has a significant feature ofindividuality and privacy. Sixth, the broadcasting content of Weibo of Twitter.com brings a strong senseof feeling and a certain effectiveness. Seventh, on its broadcasting, Weibo of Twitter.com shows a“back to face” type of interaction. Eighth, Weibo of Twitter,com has influence on mainstream media.
