Schools are facing more and more challenges nowadays in terms of student management.Some students of less self-control get addicted to on-line games and chatting and they skipclasses and play truant constantly, which imposes negative influences in their study. However,with rather backward management tool, schools are unable to trace students’ movementsaccurately and thus can not stop the bad tendency at very first time. As a result, to design asystem that can feed back students’ situation in school and trace students’ movement in timehas been one of the most important issues under discussion for each school.This article researches into the characteristics of RFID-related technology. By analysingRFID label and hardwares as reader-writer, it selects out a hardware system that suitsautomatic acquisition of students’ location in campus. Moreover, it comes up with a designscheme of student management based on RFID technology under network environment, withcombination of ASP.NET network system technology and SQL SERVER database technology.According to the demand analysis of student management and its expected function, the authordesigns a network platform with reasonable database that supports real-time inquiry andreminder, and eventually it forms a system which records students’ trail in schoolautomatically and sends the information back to the school administrative staff without delay.With help of this system, schools are able to find out students’ attendance record promptly,which helps to solve the problems such as being late for school and skipping classes, and ithelps students to grow up better. Meanwhile, parents can obtain information of their kids’performances in school through the network platform. It is the first time for schools in Ningboto develop this application system.
