Computerized hosiery machine is a mechanical-electrical integration and highly intelligentknitting equipment, which has the advantages of high-speed efficient, multi-functional andperfect uniformity. These advantages meet people’s current pursuit for individuality and fashionsocks, so computerized hosiery machine has a vast market and application prospects. Comparedto advanced computerized hosiery machine, ours still have large gaps on the aspects of advancedtechnology, innovative design, stability and accuracy. So the research on technology ofcomputerized hosiery machine has become more and more important.This paper first introduces the status and development of computerized hosiery machine athome and abroad, several Italian advanced technology, such as the transferred technology,adopted by hosiery machine are emphasized in detail. Then we come to the conclusion that thereasons of the technology in domestic is inferior to that in foreign countries are lack of analysison the principles, structures and process of the key mechanism, foreign monopoly on keytechnologies and control methods as well.In response to these issues, after expounding the principle of knitting and technical jacquardprocess, this paper makes a detailed analysis of structural characteristics and features of the maincomponents of hosiery machine. Then according to the machine’s electrical characteristics, weput forward the power-intervals control technology to the electromagnetic valves, which caneffective solute the problems of power consumption and heat dissipation. Then focuses on theneedle selection control method, discusses three types of control technology of selector andanalyzes their advantages and disadvantages.The other important point is the jacquard system, which is found to be the most complicatedand speed demanding part of the hosiery machine, is investigated thoroughly in this paper. Thenaccording to the features of hosiery machine and NAND FLASH, the hardware design andsoftware implementation for the pattern storage module is suggested. Meanwhile, a FLASH badblock management program based on bad block table, and the segmentation algorithms for pattern data are also proposed to ensure the storage of pattern data and the efficiency of reading.Then according to the selectors’ angle difference and on the analysis of the distributing featuresof the jacquard system’s selectors, this paper presents an efficient software implementation whichis simple, effective, code reuse and easy to maintain.At last, the paper introduces the whole system’s debug process with the real hosiery object,and some results are also showed by photos.
