With video conferencing, large file storage, networking and other data services as well as the explosive growth, people need to improve the quality of the future large capacity of transmission network and reliability. Optical network due to its huge bandwidth of carrying capacity and high reliability becomes the best choice for future transmission network. WDM networks in recent years has been widely used, but because of its large size, not in real time to meet the business demand for bandwidth, resulting in waste of precious bandwidth resources. In order to solve the rationalization of resource utilization and efficiency, based on the traditional WDM networks, we research the OFDM-based spectrum flexible optical network.Technology proposed in recent years about flexible spectrum optical network, which makes use of the center wavelength and the channel bandwidth can be set dynamically will be to solve the WDM system due to the fixed bandwidth, which provides a more flexible and efficient light layer network and service delivery programs, become an important development. However, the flexibility of the spectrum bring new constraints and increase routing complexity and resource allocation policy, for the optical network of more flexible spectrum, analysis and research of blocking performance under the constraints become one of the hot.In this paper, we study the blocking probability model of traditional WDM networks, and focus on the research of blocking probability model based on independent model, mainly including the following:Firstly, this paper studies the development of traditional WDM networks, in-depth analysis of WDM network resource allocation algorithm, including the wavelength assignment algorithms, routing algorithms, etc.; at the same time, we focus on the blocking probability model of two typical models, it will provide a theoretical basis for the follow-up blocking rate model of flexible optical network.Secondly, we have the analysis of key technologies about flexible optical network; we propose a blocking probability model for flexible optical network. The stand-alone model will be introduced. Making use of mathematical analysis and theoretical analysis, we establish the blocking probability model based on a fixed routing algorithm. Finally, design and implement a method about a spectrum of flexible optical network congestion rate using based on the matlab and C++simulation tools and an integrated display software for simulation results based on Twaver component, a comparison of strategies based on theoretical analysis and simulation methods, a lot of simulation data show that the blocking probability model is matching the results of the actual analog business simulation, which verifies the theoretical analysis and derivation. The model can be used to estimate blocking performance of flexible optical networks, providing a new analysis method.
