Online Billing Engine Online Mediation

In order to promote system supporting ability for prepaid brand subscribers, China Mobile Group Guangdong Co., Ltd. initiated the project of moving prepaid subscribers from intelligentized network system back to BOSS system, Shenzhen branch used the online charging engine technic in the project and finished the whole project in June2010.Online charging engine includes several parts. In order to shield external network elements’difference, unify the interactive mode of OCE with external network elements and enhance the system extensibility, OCE defines Online Mediation. Online Mediation’s main function is to establish distributed interaction with external systems, provide standard format conversion between external agreement and internal agreement and provide charging message queuing, format conversion, routing and other functions.I participate the design for the OCE (online charging engine) system, especially that for Online Mediation and distributed system.In order to solve the problem on how to send the event message received form the business logic layer, to every accounting control layer, I designed and realized a kind of method, which doing business through the transaction layer. The transaction layer is responsible for realizing the common business interface of the system, which means that the transaction layer is doing every business interaction with the external system. According to the rule list, the transaction layer could provide almost all the common business rules and more other extensible ones.After deploying and testing, the Online Mediation is already meet the requirement for both business and functionality, as well as extendibility for future accounting so as to satisfy next five years’ needs for the business development.
