FMEA is an important method to assess the reliability of electronic systems.FMEA is mostly used in electronic component for it is a single-factor analysis method.But there are some difficulties in the process of FMEA to assess the occurrence ofelectronic components’ failure mode.In this thesis, the failure rate based on the Physics of Failure method is used toimprove the accuracy of the assessment of failure mode’s occurrence, because thephysics of failure method predict the reliability of electonic systems by analyzing theintrinsic mechanism of failure under various environmental stresses. We can accuratelyassess the failure rate of electronic components by the failure of physical methods,Replacement the failure rate of electronic components based on statistical data.This thesis establishs the failure mode relation diagram and the fault tree offailure mode through the analysis of relations among the different layers electronicsystem’s failure modes. And we can quickly and accurately assess the failuremode’occurrence by using FTA knowledge, thus, this thesis achieves electronicsystems’ FMEA.Finally, the thesis implements the FMEA theory by software. The software canread the relationship of the modules in the electronic system diagram, and analysis theoccurrence of the electronic components through configuring the environmental factorsparameters in the electronic system.The software can also achieve the occurrence ofthe electronic system across the relationship of the higher layer and lower layerelectronic system.
