With the development of oilfield informationization technology, the intelligentvideo surveillance system has been gaining more and more attention, which hasbecome an urgent demand of oilfield informationization construction.Intelligent video surveillance technology, referring image processing, imageanalysis, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and many other research fields,mainly includes the phases of moving target detection, target classification, targettracking and behavior understanding. Among those, motion detection is not only thefoundation but also the key technology of intelligent video surveillance. Movingtargets detection plays an important role for target classification, objects tracking,behavior understanding and other advanced post-processing. According to theanalysis of existing algorithms of moving objects detection, Paper proposed animproved method which is a hybrid of Gaussian mixture background and framedifference method. The research originated from the actual project requirements ofoil and gas production complex networking system, which supported by ChinaNational Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The Gaussian mixture background methodand frame difference method were improved by making use of the merits ofbackground model algorithm and frame difference method. An improved movingobjects detection algorithm was proposed based on Gaussian mixture modelbackground method combined with hybrid difference. A blocking idea was adoptedto perform Gauss background modeling and the multi-frame difference was used torealize the hybrid difference. The algorithm was simulated on the Matlab and theexperiment results show that this method obtains a higher sensitivity and furtherimprovement on detection speed and effectiveness compared with the traditionalmethods.On the basis of the research on the intelligent video monitoring system and therequirement of oilfield status, Paper not only design a set of digital oilfield hardwareschemes and networking scheme of intelligent video surveillance, but also has giventransfer function model of the intelligent video data. Because of the differences ofoilfield geographical environment and social environment in different area, thepractical applications of intelligent video surveillance system are also carried ondifferently. Paper lists the chart to illustrate it and the intelligent video surveillance equipment is also introduced by the way. System software function of the digitaloilfield intelligent video surveillance are introduced. Finally, Paper shows theapplication of intelligent video monitoring system in digital oilfield.
