With the digital communication technology and computer system of rapid development, more and more of the high-speed serial transmission technology and interface technology has been used, plays a more and more important role. With the development and perfect of technology, there has appeared varieties of digital products on the market, these products bring a great convenience to our life. In this paper I analysis the relevant technology of the optical fiber communication and PCI interface technology, survey the current components widely been used in optical fiber communication, and compare with the several implementations on the PCI bus interface. At last, I design a system of the optical fiber data transmission based on PCI interface that used in B ultrasound system.With the optical fiber communication as the core, and use the PCI bus interface to complete the communication function with the computer, the system can achieve a high rate of data transmission, and obtain a good effect.This paper design and implementation the optical fiber based on PCI interface card data transmission, mainly completes the several works:First, In this paper I analysis the several key technologies in the optical communication and the PCI bus agreement,analysis the several difficulties of the key technology in the system design and the devices used in the optical communication, then choose the right optical module to realize the optical data communication and the appropriate method to realize the logic of the PCI bus interface, combine with FPGA digital processing methods, this paper put forward the total solution design of the system;Second, this paper introduces particularly each functional modules of the hardware circuit design in the system, and analysises the various function module circuit design whether it can meet the requirement of the system, then the paper completes the design of the schematic diagram and the PCB;Third, this paper introduces the software program design of the main function modules in the system, uses the PCI IPcore to realize the logic of PCI bus interface, writes the driver of the PCI bus interface, and completes the communication between the system and the computer;On this basis, this paper completes the commissioning of each functional modules in the system, until the function modules can work, and test the board in the laboratory,it mainly includes several steps:the FPGA of the launch board simulation the data signal, then the data signal goes to the optical module, through the optical fiber transmission the data been transmitted to the receive board, then the receive optical module transmits the data to the FPGA of the receive board, at last the data is transmitted to the computer through the PCI bus interface and completes the whole process of communication, through the test results, the design that based on the PCI bus interface of the optical fiber data transmission system can complete the data transmission process and meet the design requirement.
