The concept of "digital territory" has speeded up the information process of land resource, and the land data gets rid of the original disorder state and is managed in a land resource database. It has become an effective way for the land management department to build a land resource database. With the development of cadastral surveying and remote sensing acquisition technology, the means of access to the land resource data are rich and diverse increasingly, and the update period of land is also shorten gradually, what’s more, the information of the land resource data gets more and more, then it’s urgent to study how to obtain useful information from a large number of land resource database and how to guide the land-use planning with it. Under the background of the data explosion, the technology of data mining appeared, which provides a good solution for all sectors to solve the problem of "too much data but lack of knowledge". Based on the above aspects, this paper studied the change of land-types in the land resource database with the technology of spatial data mining, the purpose of the study was to improve the efficiency of the data, and expand the application level of the data, the most important thing was to provide technical support for the proper use and management of land resources. This paper started the research of data mining from three aspects, the main content was described as follows:First of all, this paper described in detail the method of building the land resource database in Wuzhong Country. After the data preprocessing, topology checks and data cleaning, we built four periods land data layers in1996,2005,2009and2010in Wuzhong Country according to the requirements of the data dictionary and Planning attribute table, what’s more, we could access the land overlay data through identity. On this basis, the attribute and spatial data of four periods was integrated, which made up the land resource database in Wuzhong Country. Meanwhile, we built the attribute database in Wuzhong Country by extracting the attribute table of every layer, which provided data foundation for future spatial data mining.Secondly, this paper introduced the Microsoft Clustering Mining Algorithm and Microsoft Association Rules Mining Algorithm in detail from three aspects of the algorithm parameter, definitions and theories. We mainly described the parameters of the two algorithms, further, the algorithm model was described, which provided a theoretical support to build the cluster model and the associated mining model for the following studies.Finally, based on the land resource database in Wuzhong Country, this paper studied the dynamic change of land, the transition of different land-types and the distribution of cultivated land and construction land with the help of the Microsoft Clustering Mining Algorithm and Microsoft Association Rules Mining Algorithm, at last, we explained and analyzed the mining results.The research approach of this paper integrated GIS spatial analysis functions with Microsoft database mining technology. We could access the dynamic change data of land resource at different period with GIS spatial analysis function, and extracted the slope and aspect of DEM, moreover, we could overlay the slope and aspect with the land resource data with reclassification and raster-vector conversion technology, and made up a unified mining table finally. We analyzed the change of the land resource in Wuzhong Country with the data mining algorithms provided by Microsoft on SLQ Server2008.The results showed that, the cultivated land and construction land changed with an inverse proportion in Wuzhong Country, and the phenomenon which construction land occupied cultivated land was serious, especially in the early stage, and then slowed down in the later stage; the land-type conversion was frequent among the inner of the agricultural land, construction land or unused land, the conversion between the three land classes were only active in certain kinds of special land-types; the cultivated land and construction land located in the flat district, whose slope was no more than1°,what’s more, their height were concentrated in the6-10meters, such a similar distribution pattern promoted the conversion between cultivated land and construction land to some extent.The conclusions of this paper have important practical significance for guiding the land-use planning, promoting the awareness of cultivated land and implementing the economical and intensive construction of land.
