China is one of the oldest ancient civilizations in the world, it has a large number of archaeological sites of prehistoric settlement, such as Hemudu Culture, Yangshao Culture and etc. Prehistoric settlement site contains a wealth of historical and cultural information, it has high archaeological value and its research is an important area of archaeology. It provides important clues for the study of social development and changes by analyzing the data to understand the architectural structure and explore the social organization of the original human.Based on the data of Jiangzhai one-stage settlement sites archaeological excavation data, this paper applies three-dimensional visualization technology of virtual reality to scenario building and human-computer interaction. Firstly, sites and their natural scenes are taken as the main display objects and particle technology are used to simulate the effect of meteorological data such as clouds, rain, snow, fog in the scene. Secondly, time and user input are taken as driving sources to realize the transformation of scene and audio, and human-computer interaction and the scene edit are conducted by user actions. Meanwhile,3d visualization technology is used to realize the construction of the settlement buildings, tombs, ash pits, form the realistic Jiangzhai settlement site life scene model and reconstruct the life of the original settlement. The main research contents of the project include:(1) The trenches, houses, pits, burial sites were included in Jiangzhai settlement sites, but the depth value of these relics were not included in the measure of DEM data, so the data must be corrected based on archaeological excavations on the remains of the height and depth of the information. According to the requirements of the system to be achieved by rendering and the deviation between real mapping data, the accuracy of elevation about the houses, trenches, burial was completed through the amendment process of the adjustment accuracy, scope, direction.(2) The remains of settlement sites in the Jiangzhai were classified by appropriate classification algorithm based on its attribute information of size, orientation, shape, color, getting the classification results of the main buildings in the ruins.3d technology was used to build the classification of buildings, such as an instance of technology to achieve fast affine transformation of the same category remains to complete the scene ruins entity, and to improve the system for a large number of entities rendering rate.(3) Ruins and measured geographic coordinates were corresponded in virtual reproduce of Jiangzhai settlement sites, it achieved the requirement that various ruins were precise distributed in the scene according to the archaeological excavations in the measured data. In the process of scene roaming and editing, getting the current screen coordinates and transform them to the world coordinate system, the space Cartesian coordinate system, geodetic coordinate system, finally get the geodetic coordinates of the scene remains which will be compared with the measured geodetic coordinates. From the results we got the error, and used OpenGL entity picking technique to select entities in the scene, to achieve the position adjustment of the entity.(4) Square box technology was used to build sky scene and billboard technology was used to build trees in the virtual settlement.Time was established as the drive for natural environment transformation,it includes day and night and scene change, such as position of the sun changed with time. we applied the3D visualization of particle te.chnology to simulation meteorological effects, generate the effects of clouds, rain, snow, fog, and realize the change of sky body, land surface with the seasons and weather effects.(5) In this paper it implemented the operation of human-computer interaction in the scene which included the scenario editing, roaming, and information feedback and so on. Users use the mouse and keyboard to interact with system to operate and realize mobile location, switching camera angles, transformation of the scene observed effects, sound transformation, and meteorological effects transform, the replacement of natural scenes and so on. In the process of interoperability, it completed the editing of the scene, the editing and update of position, size, color, attribute information of the remains entity.
