In21st century, an Information Age centered on network, network has been developing into the lifeline of the information society and the essential of the development of global economy. At November5,2007, the Android platform is available, the idea of the Android Platform was and still is amazing and is of course attracting more and more programmers every day. More and more smart devices use Android as its system. Due to the need of the input operation, the smart devices are selected a full touch screen as its main input mode, which mostly is resistive touch screen. Due to mechanical error and the amplification factors of error, almost all of the resistive touch screen devices have to go through a certain calibrated. As the android itself without the calibration method, the calibration algorithm is crucial. In this paper, the design of the calibration algorithm based on the Android2.3. After briefly introduced the development of the Android system and touch screen, it described the characteristics of framework, application of the Android system and the development environment. Focused on the touch screen calibration algorithm, this article analyzed the principle of calibration algorithms. On the basis of the optimization five-point algorithm, the calibration algorithm in this article is got.Set up Android development platform, the application of a calibration algorithm is used in the Android system. The system can use it to calibrate all the input from the touch screen. After cross-compiler, the application is running on S3C6410platform to test the calibration algorithm. The result showed it can greatly improve the accuracy and sensitivity of touch points. Coordinate transformation for the touch screen system can completed faster. Master this technology, is essential for reducing the cost of embedded systems.
