A Study On China’s Network Supervision By Public Opinion

With the rapid development of the Internet and multi-fold growth of the netizen population, the Social Influence of network supervision by public opinion has become more and more important, who has evolved into an indispensable Part of social supervision system. In recent years, various types of network supervision events keep emerging, it indicates that, with the advantage of expeditiousness and convenience, to Participate in extensive, well interactivity, network supervision by public opinion has became an effective form for our citizens to participate in supervision of State Power.As a new public opinion supervision form, network supervision by public opinion constantly presents new characteristics. Such as:the trend of the main body of the common people and the outstanding role of the network opinion leader, the related field of the Object has become more and more concentrated, microblog and social network site has become the new carriers of supervision of public opinion, etc. So it is very necessary for us to have a comprehensive understanding of the present situation of the network supervision by public opinion.At the same time, as a new media, the network media brings a lot of problems when it plays an important role at the same time. Such as:network public opinion violence, network infringement, network disinformation, network trial, etc. And the reasons could be concluded as the lack of related laws and regulations, no establishment of public opinion guide mechanism, imperfection of public opinion supervision system, the lack of responsibility of network media and so forth. These problems has brings great hidden dangers to the healthy development of the network supervision by public opinion. So we must continually strengthen the guidance and requirement for it, to make it fully play its positive role, avoid adverse effects.This paper is divided into four parts:firstly, we summarize the social background of the rise of China’s network supervision by public opinion and the development process. Secondly, we discuss the characteristics of our network public opinion from three aspects of the subject, object and carrier. Thirdly, we point out the problems in the network supervision by public opinion in China. And we analyze the reasons for restricting the healthy development of the network supervision by public opinion. Finally, in order to be beneficial to the healthy and orderly development of the network supervision by public opinion in China, we try to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve it, including improving relevant laws and regulations, strengthening guidance to network public opinion, intensifying supervision and management, strengthening self-construction of the network media.
