Target simulation equipment can be comprehensively used to test the performance ofphotoelectric tracking system on weapon system. Through the research of the field calibrationtechnology of target simulation equipment, the measurement traceability problem of specialtest equipment on weapon system can be solved to meet the measurement requirements of theproduction field of weapon system. Calibration of target simulation system provides aguarantee on testing photoelectric tracking system, which has important significance ofnational defense. Since there is no formal test procedures or calibration specification on fieldcalibration of the target simulation equipment, field calibration of target simulation system isstudied in this paper. Common target simulation system are mainly three types: mechanicaltarget simulation system, electric target simulation system and optical target simulationsystem. This paper mainly studies on the field calibration technology of optical targetsimulation system.Firstly, the development status of the target simulation equipment and calibrationtechnology is introduced, and the paper presents research scheme of field calibration systemof target simulation equipment based on virtual instrument technology. Secondly, thesuperiority of virtual instrument is introduced and principle of calibration systems on virtualinstrument is used to analyze the feasibility of calibration system.Thirdly, on the basis ofUnderstanding theworking principle of galvanometer target simulation system, we propose ahardware design scheme of field calibration system based on virtual instrument, which can bedivided into implementation of devices, detection devices and analog devices. Finally , wedesign the application software of the system, which involves moving target detectionalgorithm, the center spot positioning algorithm and image calibration. We use LabVIEW,CapturePRO 3.0 and IMAQ Vision software on virtual instrument platform to complete thevarious program modules of the system, including image capture, image save, image read, image processing and formation of calibration certificates, etc.
