As the next-generation wireless mobile communication technology, LTE can provide higher bandwidth, lower latency and greater capacity. But, with the development of the network, wireless environment is getting more and more complicated and because of a large number of network parameters operator’s job and costs increase significantly. SON system’s main aim is to achieve self-function of the wireless network, reduce manual intervention and reduce operating costs. It has important practical significance to research the function of the SON system.In this paper, based on the research of the basic function of SON system, I will research and design the Automatic Neighbour Relation(ANR) function in the module in-depth. The main purposes of ANR are to reduce the operator’s energy spent on the management of Neighbour Relation and reflect the relationship between neighbour cells to increase network’s performance. Taking this purpose as a starting point, I do needs analysis, analyse key technologies, determine the performance needed to achieve, design the overall program, do the detailed design of the process and define the interface functions and data structures. The function of the stop points is set as a innovative feature in ANR, and the related interface functions are coded or upgraded. Finally, test cases are designed for the interface functions of ANR in the SON module, test codes are wrote and all the test cases are implemented to get results. The end results well reflect the performance of ANR.
