Along with the development of Internet of Things, communication protocols and system structure need a standard.The most representative architecture of Internet of Things is EPCGIobal“Internet of Things”architecture supported by Europe and USA and Ubiquitous ID (UID) Internet of Things supported by Japan.KNX/EIB communication protocol as the intelligent building communication protocol which is the first open and independent from the technology platform, has good openness, interaction, autonomy and suitability. At the same time, KNX/EIB communication protocol has been a national even international standard in building intelligent industry. KNX/EIB communication protocol is suitable for the communication technology as a communication protocol standard. BIM132 protocol stack is the newest executable version for TP1 transmission media of KNX/EIB communication protocol.The paper mainly introduces the following sections:1. Introduce the theory of KNX/EIB communication protocol in detail, analyze realization mechanism of KNX/EIB communication stack and explain packet format of KNX/EIB.2. Complete the design and development for hardware and software of 12 channels switch on based on BIM132 protocol stack.3. As the delay jitter of KNX / EIB transmission is a big problem, after analysis and comparison on real-time assurance measures of various fieldbus, this paper proposes an improved method called KNX/EIB-A which solves the intense transmission delay jitter of KNX / EIB. The experiment shows that KNX / EIB-A helps KNX / EIB communication protocol in real time to some extent.4. Realize a network function module -- power coupler combined with KNX / EIB-A and through improving BIM132 protocol stack. Introduce the development process and test process in detail of power coupler’s hardware and software.
