With the development of the times, the car is becoming increasingly popular and hasbrought great convenience to the people. However, car traffic accidents bring a great dealof life and property damage. So it is great significance to the study of the safetyperformance of vehicles. Passive safety and active safety are the two components of thevehicle safety performance. Passive safety refers to the protective measures taken after theaccident, including airbags, anti-collision devices, seat belts. Active safety refers to theprecautionary measures and first place of the accident, including: ABS (antilock brakesystem), ESP (electronic stability system), ASR (drive anti-skid system) and AFS (theformer light adaptive lighting system) and so on. The data show that many trafficaccidents are due to not see the road conditions caused by.The AFS (prior to the lightadaptive lighting system) according to road conditions control the headlamp light, so thatdrivers see the road pavement, to reduce traffic accidents, to obtain accurate vehicledriving state parameters as well as environmental light intensity has an importantsignificance in the AFS.The purpose of this research is to provide accurate data for the AFS system. Obtainedinformation in the vehicle about the car the steering wheel angle, vehicle speed, the car tilt,yaw rate, lateral translational acceleration, sideslip angle and light intensity information isaccurate control of the car before the adaptive lighting system to light the basic premise,so a data acquisition system on the car steering wheel angle, speed, and automotive tilt andother information is designed, and collected data is handled, storaged and displayed theappropriately.Car AFS data acquisition system include the angle sensor AIDS16355sensors, wheelspeed sensors and photosensitive resistance data acquisition on the steering wheel. Thecorner of the car steering wheel, vehicle lateral translational acceleration, vehicle yaw rate,the inclination of the car, wheel speed and light intensity information can be directlymeasured. The information of speed, the sideslip angle are accessed indirectly. The dataacquisition system and the external communication interface is CAN bus communicationwhich has been widely used in the automotive sector.Firstly the relevant theoretical knowledge is introduced, such as CAN bus, thevehicle slip angle of inclination, speed, center of mass calculation; Secondly, the system’shardware design is introduced, including system hardware selection and hardware design;Thirdly, software design is introduced, the design of the driver including the data receiversubroutine and Kalman filtering; Finally, system debugging is introduced, includingdebugging the sensor under laboratory conditions, as well as the real vehicle test and goodresults are Achieved.
