Study On Partial Differential Adaptive Image Inpainting

Image inpainting is used to repair part of damaged image according to certain rulesand part of defect information area on an image to fill the repair process. The resultingwill be close or reach to the original visual effects, and improve the quality of damageimage. The damage image can be repaired easily based on partial differential method. Inthe needs of the application of image inpainting, the method can improve the qualityvery well when the damage area is small. So this paper is based on partial differentialmethod to carry out image inpainting research.Image inpainting based partial differential equation is a method for the repairprocess of mathematical modeling, the image edge and texture information into partialdifferential equation of the energy functional forms, by solving the energy functional isminimized to achieve the right image edge and texture processing process. In order tosolve the traditional based on partial differential methods exist to balance the imageedge preserving sharpness and avoid flat region produces stepped pseudo repairproblems, the adaptive method is proposed in this article. The model select the totalvariation (TV) and BSCB the advantages as the basic repair strategy. The TV strategy isused to solve the problem of preserving edge repair and BSCB strategy is used to solvethe problem of repairing the flat region. The adaptive method can change the adaptivefactor based on the characteristics of damaged area and the characteristics of edge. Theadaptive method can combine two traditional image inpainting strategies of theadvantages and avoid the shortcomings. The method will be a good comprehensiveperformance and wide application range of image inpainting program.In short, the adaptive method is proposed to repair the damaged image based on thedifference characteristics of image in this paper. The method can change the factoraccording the local characteristics of damaged image. The language program of Matlabis used to solve the numerical processing in this paper. The result of adaptive inpaintingmethod is construct with the total variation method and BSCB method. The adaptivemethod can repair the damaged image better than the other two method. The proposedmethod can preserve edges and restoration of smooth regions effectively. The adaptivemethod can improve the quality of image and the effect of visual.
