With the expansion of residential district scale, property management such as chargingand copying the data of water, electricity and gas has been magnified. The shortcomings oftraditional artificial meter reading such as the difficulties of coming into house, large error,and low efficiency have influenced the quality of residential property management moreobviously. Combined with community present situation, to adapt the requirements of modernproperty, research and develop wireless automatic message recording system of goodperformance, high efficiency, low cost, which can bring convenient, reliable, timely, accuratemeasurement and collection to civilian water, electricity. And the development of greatsignificance is a key problem need to be solved for water, power and gas enterprise.Wireless automatic message recording system is an automatic system which can realizeautomatic collection, analysis, wireless transmission of water, electricity and gas, and thesystem is a combination of master station system, electric energy meter and long-distancemeter reading terminal.In view of the limitations of current long-distance message recording system, making useof J2ME technology characteristics-highly optimized operation environment, characteristicthat has nothing to do with the platform, and GPRS characteristics-wide coverage, highspeed,high efficient and flow billing, this article puts forward the design scheme of GPRSintelligent message recording system in residential area based on J2ME.Firstly this paper analyzes the present development situation of wireless meter readingsystem both in domestic and abroad research, expounds the main technical J2ME, GPRStechnology, and compares the communication method of automatic meter reading. Thencombines with a residential area, puts forward the total design and solution in aspects of dataprocessing, data transmission, communication selection, meter reading terminal optimization,makes design descriptions, and explains how to implement the hardware and software, how tosolve practical problems by J2ME technology.The system adopts LR100embedded network module as data processing control module to realize the data transparent analysis and treatment, adopts SIM100GPRS to realize datawireless transmission, adopts Android mobile phone as a meter reading part to realize datatranscribing etc. By this design, the use-cost and maintenance cost will be greatly reduced, thereliability, stability, accuracy will be increased, data transmission can meet the demand well.
