Deep learning is an important concept raised by the current learning sciences. Itputs more emphasis and focus on the areas which need the student to learn moreproactively, critically and requires them to understand the whole concept of thelearning content, and in the meanwhile establish links between the current and newknowledge, leveraging their current learning into new situations, to make decisionsand solve problems. The new curriculum standard has new requirement fordeveloping students. And the new mathematic textbooks were composed with theguidance of the new curriculum standard. It has become a focus for every gradethree teachers on how to help students in deep learning, improve the efficiency forteaching and learning by using textbooks during the senior mathematical classes.The study is based on the research of deep learning and analyses the currentsituation and trends review for deep learning both at home and abroad, and thussets forth the background and the significance, plus the research method. It aims atstudying the real meaning of deep learning through comparison between deeplearning and shallow learning and exploring the theoretical basis of deep learning. Byanalyzing Jiangsu high school mathematic textbooks in a scientific way, the authorcame up with the stand point to improve senior three students’ deep learning byusing textbooks.In this paper, it investigates the current situation for grade three teachers’ andstudents’ progress in using textbooks to improve deep learning by means ofquestionnaires, in depth interview, etc., and also analyzes the current problem, underthe guidance of the new curriculum standard and new textbook concept. Therefore,The teaching strategy of using textbooks to improve senior three students’ deeplearning was proposed according to the investigation. Teachers provide scientificinstructions for students exploring the ultimate source of college entranceexamination by using textbooks, rethinking about the basic concepts in textbooks,establishing knowledge systems and learning to leverage knowledge. Teachersimplemented the strategy of using textbooks to improve senior three students’ deep learning according to the problems found in the investigation and the real situationof the class. Besides the interview, the author also used experiment to validate theeffectiveness of this strategy, by analyzing and comparing data between theexperimental class and control class. Both the result of the post-test and theinterview show that the students of experimental class have made progress.This experiment let the teachers and students learn about the importance ofusing textbooks, while at the same time it also showed that this strategy can helpraise students’ interest in study, improve their ability in proactively study, learningknowledge in a systematical way, improve their learning efficiency and guide them tolifelong learning. The successful implementation of senior three students deeplearning provides scientific guidance for teachers to deploy the education and furtherimprovement.
