In the new situation of economic globalization, political democratization, cultural pluralism and social information, the work about traditional ideological and political education of college students is increasingly exposing the drawbacks, Which is a new challenge to the contemporary ideological and political education theory. As a response to the situation of the challenges of the times, this paper attempts to resolve the problem of ideological and political education of the contemporary college students from the new perspective of the theory of dialogue. On the basis of investigating the ideological features of college students in the new period, by drawing on the resources of the western theory of dialogue, this article attempts to re-examine the thinking paradigm and methods of traditional ideological and political education, and puts forward a theory of dialogic ideological and political education of college students, which ultimately explores a new path for promoting the realization of the fundamental objective of ideological and political education of college students.The paper is divided into four parts. The introduction introduces the reason and significance of the topics, the relevant literature review and research methods, and reveals the changes in the environment of ideological and political education and new features of contemporary college students, showing the necessity of the exploration of dialogic ideological and political education of college students; The second part summarizes the dialogic thoughts from Socrates, Bakhtin, Martin Buber,Habermas, Paul Freire, refining the core ideas and features of dialogic theory, which demonstrates The possibility of dialogic ideological and political education of college students; The third part reflects on the plights of the traditional ideological and political education, and defines the meaning and character of dialogic ideological and political education, from which interprets the construction basis of dialogic ideological and political education; The forth part seeks the practical paths of dialogic ideological and political education from three levels such as the creation and cultivation of dialogic context, and the dialogic paths to exploration.
