Since the21stCentury, people increasingly realize the importance of Teacher Education andthe great significance of the cultivation of talented people which caters to society’s needs. Inorder to teach better, teachers should be highly qualified as well as being equipped with excellentteaching skills, which are fundamental to teaching and regulating groups, as a result, howteaching skills and the proficiency that teachers master will directly affect their teachingperformance. The Physical Education Major aims to be cultivating noteworthy teachers, but inthe process of compulsory courses of a table-tennis major, about how to perfect the classorganization form, to stimulate students’ study interests, to get hold of basic techniques but lacksin consideration of students’ teaching skills. This article presents, using the Teaching SituationCreation and Micro Teaching in compulsory courses of college Physical Education Major toenhance the learning capacity, creativity for the PE major students, as well as improving theskills of problem finding, analysis and solving through the Micro Teaching method, and thenadvance the students’ teaching skills to achieve the aim of integrated improvement of both sportand teaching competence.This article takes the compulsory course students of the table-tennis major of ChangchunNormal College Physical Education Department as the research subjects, by using modernteaching techniques, such as computer, video, camera etc. to record the students’ real situationsof various teaching skills training. After a series of experiments, we can show the students theirreal teaching images through the replay and put forward the advantages and disadvantagesduring the process of different teaching skills trainings for each student, and then give thecorrections by taking a new round of teaching practice. Finally, as consisting essentially of theclass preparation, lecturing, feedback and assessment etc will form an upward spiral teachingformat, which helps the students with their teaching skills acquirement and improvement. Thisstudy takes12weeks of teaching experiments to get a relatively real set of statistics. Then bydata reduction as well as SPSS statistics software analysis we get the following result: the effectof using the Micro Teaching Method in the compulsory table-tennis course by students of PEMajor is superior to traditional methods. The research indicates, by using Micro Teaching as thetraining method to improve the teaching skills of the compulsory table-tennis course, students aremore focused with outstanding objectives, it is easier for the students to control and master,giving a more favorable teaching effect during the teaching process, providing a moreharmonious relationship between teachers and students and also improves the students’ teachingcapacity dramatically. All of the above not only gives benefit to the conversion from students toteachers and a better solution of dealing with the short-term internship and limited teachingabilities of the PE Major Students, but also offers valuable theories and references to other sportsteaching, college physical education and sports teaching training.
