With more and more migrant workers family entered into the city, the growth of thechildren in these families took people’s attention.In cities, most children of the migrant arein the period of compulsory education, and between8and15years old. They neededucation from school.During this period, they would have their own characters. Thegrowth of these children needs a good environment, the parents’ attention and correctguidance. After entering into the city, they lack of material conditions and social system lagso that they could not equal to enjoy social resources, it would lead to the low level toself-acceptance for the children of migrant, have no sense of belonging, have a passiveattitude of learning, not harmonious relationship of family.Under the guidance of professional with social work methods and skills in the processof the city into the children of migrant,social worker help them more smooth integrationinto the city life and belonging.The empowerment theory, no power is the reason thatsocial worker help the children from migrant workers’ families, get the power is the goalof social worker’ help, and empowerment is the way that social worker uses.In my thesis,the children of migrant workers’ families is a losing right group.Through the project of "Our common city",social workers get close to these childrenand learn more. The project is the professional methods and the practical needs ofchildren of migrant combination. The empowerment theory promote the process ofchildren of migrant get used to the city. In the implementation of the project evaluationprocess, with the reflection and summarized, have some disadvantages.This study aims tothrough to the professional social work in process and have a effect on observation andevaluation. This paper summarizes the social work in the process of the localization of theexperience and lessons for social work practice for reference.
