Rousseau as a representative of naturalism education occupies a very important position onthe history of education in the world. His naturalism education methodology marks thebeginning of modern education. His human being education, human born to good theory,people return to nature, which are still to be a comprehensive study and discussion of theeducation sector for the main content, which is the main reason that he is known worldwide asan educator.“Emile” has showed us that education has been a crucial role in the status of humandetermination. Human progress and development relay on education, and it is the mostimportant aspects of human activity. Rousseau’s naturalism education methodology has aconscious that education should cultivate a man with his natural characters and human beingsshould return to social with nature orders after they are educated, which has revelation onideological and political education.This article discusses Rousseau’s naturalism education methodology in three aspects andits revelation on ideological and political education of college students. The first chapter ofthis article introduces background of Rousseau naturalism education methodology, includingits theory origin, philosophical foundation and individual factors. The second chapterintroduces the main content of Rousseau’s naturalism education methodology, includingeducational concept, educational purpose and educational mode. The third chapter analyzesRousseau’s naturalism education methodology has revelation on ideological and politicaleducation of college students. There are three main revelations: Firstly, the aim forRousseau’s naturalism education which cultivates natural person has revelation on ideologicaland political education of college students, making use of the concept for culturing naturalperson to guide college students to get rid of inducements of materialism, consumerismtendency; Secondly, Rousseau’s naturalism education methodology has concept that teachersand students are equal which has revelation on ideological and political education of collegestudents, learn from equality and democracy ideology, ideological and political education ofcollege students should take the inter-subjectivity education mode; Thirdly, Rousseau’snaturalism education methodology regard practice as the main means of education which hasrevelation on ideological and political education of college students, as we know that education should not only rely on indoctrination, we can use a variety of means and media toguide the ideological and political education of college students, which making students’learning full of lifestyle.Finally, this paper concludes revelations that Rousseau’s naturalism educationmethodology has for ideological and political education of college students, and it evaluatesRousseau’s naturalism education methodology in an objective and reasonable way.
