Not only the context is the important concept in language study, but also thecontext plays an important role in Chinese teaching. With the help of context thestudents can understand the text easily. In practice students should insist practicingreading in contest, only in this way can they improve their ability of reading.This thesis firstly defines the conception and function of context. And then thisthesis analyses the relationship between the context and the teaching of Chinesereading in middle school. And then discusses the apply principle of context in Chinesereading teaching. On the base of the discussion, the thesis analyses how to understandtext with the help of the context. At last the thesis proves the importance of context inChinese reading teaching by teaching practice.This thesis attaches importance on the analysis and the practice of how to usecontext in Chinese reading teaching. At the last chapter the thesis gives some advice onhow to use context in teaching of Chinese reading and wishes that this thesis couldbring some help to Chinese reading teaching.
