International trade terms are important terms used in international trade, which clearthe trading locations, indicate the price constitution of goods, and describe mainly the tasks,costs and risks involved in the delivery of goods from sellers to buyers. International tradeterms appeared during the large-scale commodity trade in the eighteenth century. They areextremely important international practice at present. INCOTERMS is the most completeand authoritative international rules for the interpretation of trade terms currently. It is themost widely used international practice in the field of international trade terms. The mostrecent version of INCOTERMS is revised in2010, which gets quite a lot of attention ofexperts and scholars from a number of countries, including the United of States. AfterIncoterms2000came into effect, the international trade developed rapidly. INCOTERMS2010rules take account of the continued spread of customs-free zones, the increased use ofelectronic communications in business transactions, heightened concern about security inthe movement of goods and new development of transport practices. Incoterms2010updates to deal with these new development. In order to adapt the development ofinternational trade practice, Incoterms2010carried out a lot of revisions, such as thenumber and the meaning of terms, risk transfer rules, the scope of application and so on.The revision of Incoterms promotes the unification of international trade terms and theinternational law as well.
