New Research On Long March Spirit Under The Perspective Of Cultural Transmission

During the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee of Communist Party of China(CCCPC), CCCPC has proposed a decision to further the reform of the cultural system, to promote the development and prosperity of socialist culture, etc. In addition, the decision has brought forward several issues that need to be tackled as soon as possible. Of these issues,"to promote the excellent cultural tradition of our nation and the revolutionary tradition formed since the Movement of May4th","to make full use of the Red Source of Tourism" and "to deepen the education relating to situation and policy, the situation of our country and revolutionary tradition.Long March is Declaration, propaganda team, and also seeder. Long March Spirit is formed under the roughest situation, and it is the representative of the revolutionary tradition.For quite a long time, scholars have done deep research on Long March Spirit, however, they have tended to explore its contents and realistic significance. In this paper, the transmission system and transmission discipline of Long March Spirit would be deeply analyzed under the theoretical frame of Communication, and its realistic significance would be reconsidered.There are5sections in this paper. In the first session, the popularization of the transmission contents of Long March Spirit would be analyzed. According to Hu Jintao’s lecture in the70th anniversary celebration on the victory of Long March, the connotation of Long March Spirit can be generalized into five aspects. For the low-education audience, the read army used a lot of popular and masses language during the transmission procedure of Long March Spirit, therefore, the masses have developed the identification of emotion, politics, and values, which then have become their behavioral instruction.In the second section, the systemization of the communication subject and the extension of the communication object would be given. During the time of Long March, the condition for survival and combat was extremely hard, while the cultural transmission work was still done well by the Red Army. All of these achievements benefited from the sound communication system. In the session, the communication subject would be restructured from4aspects including Communist Party, political policy, the Red Army, and the masses; and the communication object would be analyzed throughout4groups including the Red Army, masses along the Long March, the Kuomintang Army, and other masses. In addition, how the beneficial interaction between the communication subject and communication object was realized would be discussed.In the third section, the diversification of the transmission medium and the artification of transmission methods would be deeply studied. Under the extremely rough situation, the Red Army soldiers creatively made use of various transmission media which had taken fantastic effect. The main transmission media contains slogans, newspaper, lecture, broadcaster, and special education and so on. On the aspect of transmission methods, the kind of poems, paintings, songs and operas had strengthened the artistic effect.In the fourth section, the profundity and the durability of the communication effect would be researched. The profundity includes3aspects, that is, to make the sense of responsibility for national liberation deepen throughout the masses, to make the masses willing to helping the Red Army, and to make the some of enemies end their conspiracy. Moreover, the durability contains3aspects:to help establish local authorities and armed forces; to protect the political symbols from being damaged to inheriting revolutionary idea; and to a great extent, to accelerate the progress of the Marxism Chinese-Characterization.In the last section, the inspiration from the transmission of Long March Spirit would be concluded. Under the research on the transmission system and transmission discipline of Long March Spirit, and also together with the social problems, four creative ideas would be put forward:firstly, the immediate interests of the communication object should be especially emphasized; secondly, various kinds of transmission media and methods have to be made full use of; thirdly, teaching of situation and policy and revolutionary tradition education should be well combined; last but not the most, the progress of Marxism Chinese-Characterization should have to be speed up under the instruction of "three approach".Through the research on the transmission of Long March Spirit, we can inspire some new ideas:to emphasize the immediate interests of the transmission object is the key to gain better communication effect; to make full use of various transmission media and methods is the technological guarantee for the development of socialist culture; to combine teaching of situation and policy with revolutionary tradition education is the foundation of carrying out ideological and political education; to be led by Marxism and constantly promoting Marxism Chinese-Characterization is the basic direction for China reform and development. The characteristics of inclusiveness and concordance of culture should be made full use of to combine with the excellent culture all around the world, and then to promote the prosperity of socialist culture.Innovations of the paper: Firstly, research perspectives have been expanded. In most of past research on the Long March Spirit, the entry point is always the connotation of the Long March Spirit and then the revelation value to present era. There was little research on transmission system of Long March Spirit, which has resulted in the theoretical obstacles to further research. This paper are to explore the successful experience of Long March Spirit communication under the frame of transmission system, which would make more enlightening significance to teaching of situation and policy, revolutionary tradition education, and the exploit of red tourism resources.Secondly, the methodology is innovative. By employing the theoretical and researching framework of Cultural Communication studies, the paper, in a systematical way, discusses the Long March Spirit respectively from the following aspects, i.e."the transmission content","the transmission subject and object","the media and methods""the effects and the inspiration", etc. With the analysis of the transmission elements of the Long March Spirit, the transmission system and mechanism of the Long March Spirit can be revealed.
