objective:This study is aimed to test the reliability and validity of the Seale for Depression of TCM syndrome elements.Methods:1. Li terature Review:the research of depression in TCM and Westen medieine.2. The research progress of depression evaluation scale.3. Combined with the international diagnostic criteria of depression to collected142patients met the inclusion criteria. Collected the patients’ general information and the four diagnostic methods information. Then evaluated them by the Seale for Depression of TCM syndrome elements. Through the patients’ information already collected, diagnosed them by a chief physician and two deputy chief physician. Some of the patients were retested with the same scale in a week. Created an Epidata database and verified the reliability and validity of the Seale for Depression of TCM syndrome elements.Results:1. The proportion of women is about four times that of men; The average age is (47.80±15.62) year-old;42patients’ course of the disease were less than1year (29.6%);71patients’course of the disease were1-10years (50.0%),29patients’course of the disease were more than10years (29.4%);HAMA overall score average (18.98+3.02) points, which may have anxiety in9cases (6.3%), there must be some anxiety109cases (76.8%), there must be some obvious anxiety in23cases (16.2%), severe anxiety in1case (0.7%); HAMD scores (21.90+2.16) points on average, are of mild or moderate depression; Of comorbidity of anxiety depression in131patients (92.3%).2. Reliability testing:2.1Test-retest reliability:In this study, the retest time was set to1week. Evaluated the two results of8TCM syndrome for test-retest reliability, the correlation coefficient results as follows:Yin deficiency syndrome0.940, qi deficiency syndrome0.737, blood deficiency syndrome0.822, qi stagnation syndrome0.789, blood stasis syndrome0.830, phlegm dampness syndromes0.638, hot syndrome0.606, Yang deficiency syndrome1.000, it can be concluded that the scale has good retest reliability as a whole. 2.2Internal cons is tency reliability:For the reliability analysis included in all cases, the results show that the Cronbach’s a coefficient is0.817,0.818after correction, tip the scale has good internal consistency as a whole. Did not see scale dramatically improve overall reliability after delete an entry, prompted scale overall good internal consistency.2.3Split-half reliability:The first part for items1to18, the second part is19and35items. The obtained Spearman-Brown coefficient is0.729, Guttman Split-Half coefficient is0.724, tip the scale has a good correlation between the two parts.3. Validity testing:3.1Criterion-Related Validity:Evaluated the Validity testing of Patient’s four diagnostic information with a doctor and two deputy chief physician, director of the syndrome type evaluation, to each syndrome type. Income consistent Kappa coefficient were greater than0.6, in addition to qi deficiency, and qi stagnation, phlegm and an expert in the wet and hot outside the rest compared with two experts to diagnose Kappa values predominate were greater than0.75, p<0.01, there is statistically significant, indicated that the scale and expert diagnosis compared consistency is good, has the very good standard associated validity.Compared with the Hamilton depression rating seale, the Spearman correlation coefficient was0.196, p>0.01, no statistical significance.3.2Construct validity:To scale to eight known latitude to extract common factor. Due to the survey collected by the small sample sizes, KMO value is less than0.7, the factor analysis effect is relatively poor. The extracted8common factor accumulation contribution rate is not more than50%. But visible scale for each principal component to fair after factor analysis to explain the content of the different aspects, and the expected design has certain conformity degree, therefore assumed that the structure of this scale has certain validity, but also need to further expand the sample investigation after continue to test and verify.Conclusion:1. Verified, depression syndrome factors of TCM scale used for clinical evaluation of TCM syndrome classification of depression has good reliability and validity.2. Through further improvement is to increase the scale as a kind of practical method is applied to the depression patients in the diagnosis of clinical syndrome classification, and provide a new basis for depression in traditional Chinese medicine clinical research.
