Clinical Research Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Children With Functional Constipation

Objective:According to the clinical pathway of traditional Chinese medicine, pediatric constipation observation of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment methods of children with functional constipation symptoms, syndromes, and changes in the score before and after the treatment, and through comparing with the western medicine group " Medi lac-Vi ta ", confirmed the infantile constipation effect of clinical pathway of traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment method of the effectiveness of the treatment of children with functional constipation, also for the further exploration of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of infantile constipation have provided the certain basis.Methods:From April2011to January2013,64children with functional constipation from Dongfang Hospital, the second clinical medical college of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) were randomly divided into two groups, the first group32cases (removed in2cases) were adopted TCM syndrome differentiation, the second group32cases (removed in2cases) were taken care of ’Medilac-Vita’. At the end of treatment, scoring two groups of disease and primary symptom (shit) and TCM syndrome scoring were statistical analysis and comparison of observation to discuss the curative effect of two groups.Results:(1) The most course of children with functional constipation is one month to six month, account for70%, and course length is associated with therapeutic effect, the shorter the course of the disease, treatment effect better, instead, the longer the course of the disease, treatment effect is poorer;(i.e., Bristol stool characters hierarchical), is no statistical difference (P＞0.05).(2) In the aspect of TCM syndrome types, with spleen and stomach weak card, according to the classification of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment group5type comparison, results show that the5groups is no statistical difference in terms of disease curative effect (P＞0.05).(3) In terms of scoring, before the treatment, the treatment group and control group total score, primary symptom (shit) and TCM syndrome score compared with no statistical difference (P＞0.05); After treatment, the treatment group and control group total score, primary symptom (shit) and TCM syndrome scoring were statistically significant differences (P＜0.01), and their score compared before and after treatment in both groups, there were significant differences (P＜0.01), two groups of treatment are effective (4) In the aspect of disease curative effect, the two groups had significant difference (P＜0.01), and the treatment group is better than the control group. On the TCM syndrome curative effect evaluation to compare two groups had statistically significant difference (P＜0.01), and the treatment group is better than the control group. Instructions in the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine treatment group is superior to the Medilac-Vita group.Conclusions:(1) Course length has a significant influence on disease treatment effect, the shorter course, the better effect, instead the worse the longer course of treatment;(i.e., Bristol stool characteristics classification) had no significant effect to disease treatment effect.(2)Infantile constipation of traditional Chinese medicine, most of them is weak in spleen and stomach, which related to physiological characteristics of "the spleen is often insufficient" children.(3)"Medilac-Vita " and traditional Chinese medicine treatment can improve the children with functional constipation defecate and TCM syndrome, treatment are effective, however, TCM syndrome differentiation treatment is better than "Medilac-Vita".
