Objective: To observe the clinical effect of pricking blood therapy combinedwith Chinese herbal and acupuncture on obstinate facial paralysis of QiDeficiency and Blood Stasis.Objects and methods: A total of60cases according with inclusive criteriawere selected from the Neurological Department of the hospital affiliated toLiaoning University of TCM. All the cases were divided into2groups at random.30cases were in treatment group and30cases were in control group.The treatmentgroup accepted pricking blood therapy combined with Chinese herbal andacupuncture,while the control group the were only treated by body-acupuncturefor4course of treatment. To observe the improvement of symptoms scores of twogroups.Results:1.There was a significant difference between two group in symptom score afterthe treatment(p<0.05). The results indicate the treatment group was superiorto the control group.2.The total effective rate of treatment group is93.3%and the total effectiverate of control group is76.7%(P<0.05). The effect of the treatment group wasbetter than that of the contrast group.Conclusion:Pricking blood therapy combined with Chinese herbal and acupuncture onobstinate facial paralysis of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis has a definitcurative effect.It can significantly improve the symptom of theobstinate facial paralysis, worth popularizing and applying.
