| Objective:To investigate the relationship between plasma levels of sex hormone-binding globulin and uric acid levels in patients with hyperuricemia. Methods:This study included 412 cases of hyperuricemia patient and 410 cases of nor-hyperuricemia,and about 200 male,200 postmenopausal women in each group. Each subject was evaluated after overnight fasting, their blood samples were collected from superficial vein of the arm. Blood lipids glucoses estrogen-, insulins SHBG and uric acid were measured. Results:Considering hyperuricemia subjects as the experimental group and nor-hyperuricemia subjects as the control group. Some research findings as following:1. The incidences of TGã€TC and LDL-C in hyperuricemia group are much higher than those in normal UA group of the men.2. The incidences of hypertensionã€high blood glucoseã€ALTã€BUNã€TCã€LDL-C and low E2 in hyperuricemia group are much higher than those in normal UA group of the pre-menopausal women.3. Subjects with hyperuricemia have much lower levels of circulating SHBG than subjects with normal blood uric acid. Conclusion:Our studies of postmenopausal women and men with hyperuricemia showed that lower levels of circulating sex hormone-blinding globulin were strongly associated with higher levels of blood uric acid. Low circulating levels of sex hormone-blinding globulin and Insulin Resistance may highly correlated. |
