Objective:The aim of this article is to investigate the dietary state quo as well as the related factors influencing it, secure college students’meal nutrition intake and health, and provide evidence for its nutrition and health education.Methods:260students of Binzhou Medical College and Binzhou College are investigated in a form of self-designed questionnaire about their nutrition knowledge, attitude and eating behavior. Then we calculate the mastery rate of their knowledge about nutrition and evaluate students’present nutritional state quo; furthermore we do a survey of dietary structure of the two colleges’dining room by chalking up, gather statistics about their consumption of all kinds of raw materials and weight in December2011, in an effort to calculate two college students’average intake of all kinds of food and nutrition per person a day, comparing with the reasonable intake scope of all kinds of everyday food in Chinese nutrition society’s2000revision cf the "China’dietary nutrients reference intake"(DRIs) and the2007revision of the "China’dietary pagoda".Results:(1) BMI distribution of students in Binzhou is basically normal.9.5%are underweight,85.5%are of normal and5%are overweight.87%of the Slants thin students are female. Consumption level per month have statistically significant on undergraduates’BMI, the result has statistical significance.(2) College students’lack of nutrition knowledge.242valid questionnaires of nutritional knowledge were received. Of the lOquestions only4questions’correct rate are more than50%. Most of students possess proper nutrition attitude. But quite a lot of students have some problems in eating behavior, such as choosing food according to taste but not by nutrition need, can not keep on eating breakfast, do not often drink milk, do not often eat fruit, etc. In nutrition problems known, nutrition knowledge acquisition and use, breakfast and three meals a day, etc,Female students is superior to Male students in the score rate of nutrition knowledge, nutrition attitude, eating behavior, students in medical colleges are better than students in universities.(3) Foods supplied in the dining rooms of two universities in Binzhou are mainly grain and grain products, the supplies of vegetables, beans and bean products, as well as aquatic products relatively few, fruit, milk and dairy products obviously insufficient. Concerning students’intake of nutrients, the intake of sodium and vitamin E reaches the recommended quantity, heat, protein, carbohydrates, thiamin and iron basically adequate; vitamin A, lactoflavin and calcium seriously insufficient. As for the heat distribution of the three meals in a day, breakfast contains slightly lower heat, while dinner supplies slightly higher heat. Conclusion:Two college students of Binzhou city don’t have enough nutritional knowledge. There is unreasonable eating behavior among them, but their nutrition attitude and dietary structure appear to be good. Compared with the recommended dietary nutrients intake, most nutrition intake is on the low side and calcium intake is seriously insufficient. We should popularize nutrition knowledge, scientifically guide students’diet, and improve dietary structure, so that college students’ overall quality can be enhanced.
