Optic Neuropathy Caused By Cerebral Tumor, 77 Cases Of Clinical Research And Combine Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine Curative Effect Evaluation

Object:This article summarizes the clinical data from77in-hospital patient which tumors induced to optic neuropathy.And we want to get an epidemiological analysis and evaluate the curative effect with integrated Chinese and Western medicine.Methods:We choose the retrospective study, and set a special table to record the data of the Cerebroma patients, from2000to2011in the Dongfang Hospital Eye Department.Such as the patient name, age, gender, etiology, course of disease, the first symptom of the tumor,visual acuity,visual field changes and Visual evoked potential etc.All statistical values are dealed with SPSS17.0.Results:Into the cases:All cases had surgeried or taked other treatment by neurosurgery, we have77patients with147illess eyes, there are36males (46.75%) and41females (53.25%)。 The gender composition ratio for male and female patients is1:1.14. The average age is37.47, and up to19-44years-old patients make the most field (57.14%).There are51cases of four common primary intracranial tumors (66.23%) in the survey. For48patients who can assure the tumor location, there are24person(50.0%)with sellar region placeholder. In addition, by a total of59patients (76.6%) with eye symptoms starting, the number of optic disc edema is46cases (29.87%). The average duration of disease is22.35months, and42eyes (28.57%) with NLP visual acuity before treatment and the average visual acuity is2.16(log MAR). There are71patients (92.21%) had surgeried before, and three cases of brain tumor is newl’y discovered in our hospital. All the patients accept of integrated Chinese and Western medicine. Compared with the result of visual acuity, visual field and Visual evoked potential, there are53eyes(36.05%)get a effective treatment for the totally147illness eyes. The average time of treatment is3147days. And the average visual acuity after treatment is2.36(log MAR), the Pavalue of the paired t test is less than0.01.Conclusion:Patient with brain tumors is sometimes due to decreased visual acuity, visual field defect,the first diagnosis in ophthalmology. Automated perimetry, CT, MRI applications, early diagnosis is no more difficult, but damage to visual function cased by intracranial lesions were misprision of progressed. Patients had non-conscious discomfort symptoms, so we often find the clinical misdiagnosis or long-term mistreatment by common. Ophthalmologist should strengthen the neuro-ophthalmic learning, careful history taking, vision and imaging studies, in order to avoid the brain tumor misdiagnosed.
