Objective:To investigate the preventive effects of indomethacin suppositories via rectum on hyperamylasemia and pancreatitis after ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography).Methods:113 patients who were diagnosed with common bile duct stones from 2011-01 to 2011-11 by B ultrasound, CT, and MRCP were randomly divided into two groups. There were 60 patients in the preventive group, and 53 patients in the control group. 100mg of indomethacin suppositories was administered via rectum in the preventive group 60 minutes before ERCP, while no indomethacin suppositories was given in the control group. In addition, diazepam(5-10 mg)and anisodamine(10 mg) and pethidine(50mg) was given in both groups 10min before ERCP. Serum amylase was detected before ERCP,6 hours and 24 hours after the operation. The occurrence of post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) and hyperamylasemia was also observed. Results:The serum amylase-levels of6 and 24 hours after ERCP in preventive groups were (81.87±48.49,73.57±56.92) were lower than those of control groups (126.79±134.05,116.06±129.96) (P<0.05).None PEP was observed in preventive group, but 5 cases with PEP occurred among the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Rectal use of indomethacin suppositories can effectively decrease the occurrence of post-ERCP pancreatitis and hyperamylasemia in patients with common bile duct stones. |
