Paleogene Laizhou Bay region is becoming the focus of exploration targets of China’s offshore oil, expecially in the Kongdian period.The Jiyang depression in the east of Laizhou Bay region had found much hydrocarbon. so, the study of formation characteristics, fracture characteristics and tectonic evolution of the distribution reveal the deep reservoirs of great importance. Most of the study area is located in the Tanlu fault zone, between the east and west teams of it, there’re obviously shallow fault activities and difference space distribution. So it has the important basic geological signifinance after a detailed analysis of the structure. To analyze the study elements of the fault system is based, summarizes the fault system in the transition of the features of the law. My thesis based on various seismic geology, drilling cores and other geological data from the combination of analysis and interpretation, with the results of other researchers’achievements, found the sedimentary characteristics and the whole structural evolution of Laizhou Bay region during the paleogene. Identify the specific activities in time and intensity after the in-depth analysis of the tanlu fault zone in region of Laizhou Bay and analysis its kinematics process further. Identify the prototype of the sags in the research region through the ancient tectonic evolution section and the analysis of fault activity. Combine the regional background and local fracture of the research region, clear the fracture characteristics and structural pattern of Lazhou Bay region, make a comparation between the structural in Jiyang depression basin’s Dongying sag, Zhanhua sag and Laizhou Bay which is lay on the Jiyang depression basin’ east.The result show that:The tanlu fault zone had no obvious control functions on the sedimentary of the research region. The main activity time of Tanlu fault zone started in the Late Paleogene Period. The Tanlu fault zone changed nearly east-west structure in research region to east-west; the area sufferd uneven erosion during earl-middle Paleogene, the characterized of erosion is weak in south and strong in north; had controlled the sedimentary formation and fracture development in the Palegene of the area. overall the Tanlu fault zone show the right-lateral strike-slip and stretching, sinistral stike and extrusion activities occasionally. the QingTuozi, Weibei, Kendong salient’s main part. structures are formed after the Kongdian period, then start the influence of the spectrometry sag’s sedimentary. We have restored the tectonic evolution of the various sag from Paleogene through the restore the denuded thickness and deformation reversion through the type section of the study area. summarized the impact of carbon accumulation by the structure evolution.
