Clinical Effect Of Toutongning Capsules Combined With Flunarizine Capsules In Treatment Of Migraine

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of Toutongning Capsules on patients with migraine.Methord:To select90outpatients with migraine,which were diagnosed by department of Neurology. They were all from the First Hospital of Lanzhou University during the period of October2011to May2012.90patients with migraine were randomly divided into three groups:Toutongning capsules group,Flunarizine capsules group and Toutongning capsules combined with Flunarizine capsules group. Three groups were treated for28days and then the score of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were observed. Blood serum electrolytes,plasma5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) and plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) were measured before and after treatment.Results:Firstly, the scores of VAS were no statistically significant difference of three groups in before treatment(P>0.05), the scores of VAS were decreased in the three groups those in after treatment compared with those before treatment, there was statistically significant differences of all(P<0.01). The scores of VAS of two-drug combination group to reduce better than Toutongning capsule and Flunarizine capsule, there was significant differences(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the Toutongning group and Flunarizine group P>0.05). Secondly, blood level of K+, plasma level of calcitonin gene-related peptideand decreased and blood level of Mg2+plasma level of5-hydroxytryptamine advanced. Toutongning capsules combined with Flunarizine capsules group was better than the Toutongning capsules group and the Flunarizine capsules group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the Toutongning capsules group and Flunarizine capsules group in the biochemical indicators concentration difference(P>0.05).Thirdly, there was significant differences of adverse events among the three groups(P<0.05) except for between the Toutongning capsules group and Toutongning capsules combined with Flunarizine capsules group (P>0.05). Conclusion:The Toutongning capsules can relieved in headache without adverse events of patients with migraine, in relation to the decrease in blood level of K+plasma level of calcitonin gene-related peptideand and the increase in blood level of Mg2+, plasma level of5-hydroxytryptamine.
