Objective: To investigate the effects of ischemicpostconditioning on the chaperones in the CA1neurons sufferedtransient ischemia and reperfusion. Methods:Transient global ischemia rat model was used.Following different reperfusion period, all the Wistar rats weredivided into ischemia group and ischemic postconditioning group. Each group was divided further into sham-operation group,12hours recovery group,24hours recovery group,48h recoverygorup and72hours recovery group. Differential centrifuge andwestern blotting analysis were used to analyze the quantitativealteration of hsp40and hsp70.Results: HE staining showed that ischemic postconditioningreduced neuronal death induced by transient ischemia andreperfusion. Western blotting analysis showed that the expressionof hsp70was upregulated, and the content of hsp40in CA1neurons was improved by ischemic postconditioning. Conclusion: Ischemic postconditioning could improve thequantity of hsp70and hsp40in the CA1neurons, and reduced neuronal death in the CA1region caused by ischemia andreperfusion.
